Located near historic Gastown, the Goldcorp Centre for the Arts is housed in Vancouver’s iconic Woodward’s building. Home to SFU’s School of Contemporary Arts, this distinctive venue consists of studios and theatre space designed for the cultural arts, including music, dance, theatre, film and visual arts.
There are three meeting and event spaces available at this venue on a regular basis and additional space is available on an ad hoc basis. With an artistic and “funky” vibe, these facilities are perfect for product launches, film screenings and media events.
Event space includes a 350-seat theatre, the World Art Centre, perfect for casual meetings, receptions or pre-event gatherings, and a lobby/reception area.
The Goldcorp Centre for the Arts is also home to the Audain Gallery, which hosts an international artist-in-residence program.
SFU is committed to being a good neighbour. The Vancity Office of Community Engagement offers cultural partnerships, non-credit educational initiatives and facility rentals to foster community engagement. A community ticket program provides neighbourhood residents access to cultural events at the facility.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
