CASTLE was a Nanaimo band originally formed by lead singer John Alden ( replaced in 1973 at the longhouse cabaret by Marc Gawthrop) with Ed Van Bentham on drums, Lance Pottinger on guitar and Douglas Ratzlaff on Bass. Marc left the band in October 1974 to join Teen Angel & the Rockin Rebels and CASTLE took on Mike Williamson as lead vocalist. The band recorded an unreleased album with Mike and Marc sharing vocals in 1975 at Stan Cayers SGM Studios
