The Gallery Singers

The Gallery Singers are Vancouver’s outstanding choir specializing in Renaissance and Baroque repertoire. Part of the city’s vibrant musical community since 1968, the choir has won numerous awards including First Prize at the International Eisteddfod Festival in the U.K. Under the experienced direction of conductor Derrick Christian (former musica intima and Vancouver Chamber Choir bass) the Gallery Singers are once again moving to the forefront of music-making in Vancouver. The choir has a strong community spirit and performs at Christmas events in Vancouver such as The Festival of Lights at Van Dusen Botanical Gardens and carol singing at Granville Island. In the past two years the choir has also made a point of bringing their music to communities outside of Vancouver performing in White Rock, West Vancouver, Squamish and Chilliwack.
