Birds & Kites

Debi was a classical singer who wanted to write songs; Ryen was a sound engineer who just wanted to skateboard. You wouldn't necessarily expect things to work out, but when it comes down to it, they're both all about the music. They started as two friends listening to old fleetwood mac vinyls and making up songs in the middle of the night. One night Ryen called up Debi and said "let's make a record". So they did.

After trading in her classical singing for a blue acoustic guitar, and his skateboard for Komrade Studios, Debi and Ryen got together to produce their first EP “Forgotten”. Under the band name ‘Birds & Kites’, the duo captures the feel of song writing in the middle of the night through their simple melodies, warm sounds, and personal lyrics.
