Skeleton Park Radio (SPR) is an alternative rock trio from one of the great Canadian music hubs - Kingston, Ontario.
Making up this heavy-hitting three piece is Josh Andrews (Guitar/Bass), Jesse Soroka (Drums) and Eli Mairs (Vocals). The three met in Kingston and used their love of music to pass the time during the pandemic. In December 2022, Jesse bought a drum set and taught himself how to play. During that time, him and Josh began jamming in Jesse’s basement. After several sessions, they knew that this was something they wanted to pursue. They pointed to a strong voice to tie the knot - that was Eli. Both Eli and Josh had books full of songs and ideas they wanted to share with the world from jamming throughout their friendship.
By the end of January they already had a show booked and what is now known as Skeleton Park Radio was formed. Through live shows and some help from their friends, they steadily gained popularity in Kingston’s downtown music scene. The physical location of Skeleton Park is a Kingston staple and the band aims to keep their image tied in with the town. SPR relies on heavy riffs, mighty drums, and melodic vocals to manifest a catchy 90s-like feel.
Through inspirations like Nirvana, the band captures dissonant guitar rock with introspective lyrics and an attitude grounded in angst. Their inspiration is drawn from bands like The Smashing Pumpkins and Radiohead. Local engineer Sean Tomalty produced their releases and helped capture this sound.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
