Chris Tarry is one of Canada’s most successful and celebrated electric bassists. With two Juno Awards for “Best Contemporary Jazz Album” with Metalwood, and a win in the same category this year for his latest album Almost Certainly Dreaming (Nineteen-Eight Records), six other Juno Award nominations, three West Coast Music Awards, four Jazz Report awards for “Group of the Year”, three National Jazz Awards and other high profile accolades, Tarry has established himself as one of North America's top jazz musicians. His work as a founding member of Canada’s jazz super group Metalwood has seen him share the stage and recording studio with some of the top jazz musicians in the world.
