Vanessa Kay

Vanessa Kay grew up in Edmonton, Alberta surrounded by community-driven folk music, and has played the fiddle for 22 years. She performs regularly on fiddle, mandolin and vocals with the Vancouver-based traditional Irish group Ballyhooley, as well as solo and joining various folk and indie rock groups and classical ensembles. She teaches fiddling at the Celtic Traditions music school, and is in demand a session player for recordings. Vanessa is easiest to find every Tuesday night, playing with Ballyhooley at The Irish Heather Pub in Gastown.
