“Lorne Elves Harmonica Trio in photo were winners of the City Parks Board amateur music contest were judged winners held before more than 3,000 spectators in Cameron Memorial Pavilion at Beacon Hill Park in Victoria. Left to right in photo, John Elves, Frank Leach and Lorne Elves. They are one of four local contestants. The Elves trio were awarded the Silver Cup and $100 cash.”
