Kim Greenwood is a multi-faceted performer and equally loves performing jazz, pop, classical and musical theatre. She's an actor at heart and this comes shining through in all of her repertoire, engaging audiences at every turn.
Kim regularly collaborates with many fine musicians on the west coast of Canada and has formed her own ensembles, including the "Classic Pop Cats". In 2017 Kim created and produced the highly successful "Ella at 100" tribute show and in the fall of 2019 “All About That Verse”, a fascinating tour of lost verses from great songs; she has produced a number of shows at Hermann's Jazz Club since 2015, all to capacity crowds. Since starting her professional performance career in 1994, Kim has performed every genre from jazz duo to classical soloist with full orchestra. Kim has been the lead vocalist with the Commodores Big Band since 2012.
Kim is on faculty at The Canadian College of Performing Arts and has taught privately since 2000. She is past president of the Victoria Chapter of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) and past vice-president of the U-JAM Society (Universal Jazz Advocates and Mentors Society) as well as faculty for their summer jam camp. Kim loves teaching & mentoring and she is also a coach, masterclass teacher and adjudicator.
