Opera Mariposa

Opera Mariposa is a Vancouver-based opera and musical theatre group run by young artists, for young artists. Their performances have been hailed as "a stroke of genius" (The Voice), "an evening of delight" and "a masterpiece" (Review Vancouver), with The Vancouver Project declaring that "Opera Mariposa stands at the forefront of Vancouver's opera scene." In 2016 they expanded with the launch of the Mariposa Theatre Wing, adding plays and musicals to their repertoire. Mariposa also hosts the Repertory Concert Artist Program, a standing roster of talented opera and musical theatre artists available to perform commissioned concerts around the Lower Mainland.
