Indicator Dogs
Originally formed in 1997 in New Zealand by Dan Young and Val Hunting.
Early demos and a strong live presence attracted the attention of award winning producer Malcolm Welsford who immediately recognized their unique sound and offered to produce the first album. Welsford founded and built York Street Recording Studio with Jaz Coleman of Killing Joke.
Indicator Dogs first album, Anschluss, was released by independent label, Antenna records and distributed through EMI.
The band finished pre-production on their follow up album in May 2010. Welsford brought them together with Grammy nominated drummer AAron Rossi (Prong, Ministry, John 5) to record in Los Angeles. This album is currently in final stages of mixing and will be released in 2011.
