Shannon Thue Trio

A rising young star on our local scene, pianist/composer/arranger Shannon Thue received CBC Radio-Canada’s first Jazz Award of Merit (JAM) in 2004. A recent graduate of the Capilano College Jazz Studies program, she plays in the mainstream tradition and is influenced by jazz greats Oscar Peterson, Ella Fitzgerald (Shannon’s also a very fine singer), Thelonious Monk, McCoy Tyner, and Gene Harris.
