Powervox Projekt is a five-piece Vancouver-based rock band whose performances are geared towards one thing: Packing the dance floor.
From classic rock songs from the 1980s by bands like AC/DC and The Cars, to current hits by Pink and Kings of Leon, we play chart-topping hits that are instantly recognizable but never stale – songs with driving beats that will get you a speeding ticket if you play them while behind the wheel of a car.
As the band’s name suggests, Powervox features the powerful vocal stylings of Monica Tran, backed by a band of solid and seasoned musicians: Greg Bernard (lead guitar), Pebbles Willekes (bass), Brian Bird (keys) and Nelson Bennett (drums).
Monica’s athletic vocal range allows Powervox to tackle vocally challenging numbers by performers like Janis Joplin and Journey.
Even when the band takes a break, the dance tunes don’t stop. When you hire Powervox for your nightclub or private function, you also get soundman-DJ extraordinaire Francis Hooper (www.francishooper.com), an award-winning sound engineer and composer who not only can dial in the perfect sound for your venue, but who also knows just what disc to spin while the band’s on a break to keep the dance-floor bouncing.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
