At 25, Ashleigh Eymann is poised to bring a new voice, breathing new life into
the music scene. She first honed her chops performing with Victoria, BC’s 'Stir
Fry Collective' in 2002, which served as the perfect vehicle for her to reach the
ears of many local musicians. One of her first collaborations was with
Vancouver’s Jeff Spec, appearing on his acclaimed album, 'Rhythm and Blues'
in January, 2006. It was given a 5 out of 5 score by the UK’s music-critic.com
which singled out Ashleigh by saying, “'All in Together' features infectious hooks
by local songstress, Ashleigh Eymann.”
As a member of the hip-hop collective group, The Current, in Victoria,
Ashleigh has performed in Vancouver and across Vancouver Island including
opening spots for groups such as Jurassic 5, Brother Ali, and Mike Relm at
Victoria’s JazzFest International. The festival’s artistic director described them
with this: "The Current oers something unique in the world of hip-hop. Just B and
Ishkan emcee and rhyme, while DJ Murge provides the beats on the turntables
and Ashleigh Eymann brings the soul with her vocals, keyboard and guitar
acting as a catalyst to create something truly new and unique."
Ashleigh continues to work with The Current, as
well as pursuing a solo singer/songwriter career.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
