Joel Haynes Trio plus Seamus Blake CD release

The dynamic Montreal-based drummer Joel Haynes is at the helm of this modern jazz group. An inventive and diverse musician, Haynes’ great recent CD The Time Is Now (Cellar Live) features the Vancouver-based team of bassist Jodi Proznick and pianist Tilden Webb. This performance finds the trio reunited and playing with New York-based (and former Vancouverite) Seamus Blake on tenor sax. Blake has worked with Victor Lewis, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Billy Drummond, Mark Turner, and many more. Few artists are capable of delivering near-perfection every time but Blake is one of them. Not to be missed.
