Regular Girl - Written and Performed By Rob Fillo

This is the first video on my songwriting channel! It is the spark of a brand new chapter in my musical journey and a brand new series of live music videos. I will be going to different locations throughout Vancouver Island and filming my original songs with the help of my friends.

Lyrics:

I long to wander this beautiful world,
just some regular girl with her head full of dreams.

I'll speak with angels and talk down to kings with the wisdom that sings from my long road here.

I think I know how it all falls apart, first we lose the spirit then attrify the heart.

The nihilists have forsaken our souls. Now we're all bought and sold she our love light bleeds.

Kiss me softly if you've suffered enough. Come in out if the cold. I've been lonely for so damn long. Give me someone to hold. Someone to hold. Someone to hold. Someone to hold. Someone to hold. Someone to hold.

And now I know what the trees really mean; what's above lives below and through the veil it can be seen.

Fools count their pennies and fly into the stars when it's right before our eyes. Have we gone to far?

Sometimes I dream that the world never ends and we all mend our ways just by changing the lens.

But who am I; just some ordinary girl, standing on the brink of this brave new world.

Kiss me softly if you've suffered enough. Come in out of the cold. I've been lonely for too damn long. give me someone to hold. Someone to hold. Someone to hold. Someone to hold. Someone to hold.

Song Bio:

This song was inspired by a woman I met on my travels. She is an elementary school music teacher that goes above and beyond to help her students feel a sense of stability and hope during these difficult times. She works very hard, far beyond the regular hours allotted by her career; Planning classes, making special rewards for the children, making online lesson programs and doing extensive extra curricular activity programming. When she told me about her passion, drive and efforts to make music a part of these children's lives, I told her she was amazing. She looked up at me with beautiful blue eyes and said she was just a "regular girl." This song goes out to her and all the other music teachers that truly make the world a better place and directly improve the lives of everyone they touch with the gift of music.
