Due to an illness Jean-Michel Pilc will be unable to perform as planned this evening. The rest of the band will still be coming and now plan to play as a trio rather than the originally scheduled quartet.

David Binney, Jean-Michel Pilc, Jerad Lippi, and Rémi-Jean LeBlanc will be teaming up for a short concert series in Ontario and Quebec to a present a sophisticated and unorthodox blend of traditional and contemporary jazz and improvised music. Don't miss this extraordinary collaboration as these highly regarded musicians come together to deliver an unmissable musical experience.
Jean-Michel Pilc is a renowned jazz pianist, composer, and educator from Paris, France, now based in Montreal. His innovative and expressive improvisational techniques have granted him international acclaim and collaborations with many jazz greats. Jean-Michel is a respected teacher at McGill University.
Los Angeles-based David Binney is an globally acclaimed American jazz saxophonist and composer known for his innovative and emotional approach to music since the 80s. His distinctive sound blends tradition with exploration, making him a prominent figure on the international jazz stage.
Montreal-based Rémi-Jean LeBlanc has been active on the canadian music scene since 2005 and has had long standing collaborations with people like Yannick Rieu, Marianne Trudel, Carol Welsman, and Elizabeth Shepherd. R-J has also toured extensively with different projects in Europe and Asia and has performed with international artists such as Jeff Ballard, Seamus Blake, Terri Lyne Carrington, Ben Wendel, and Billy Hart. RJ has been on faculty at McGill University since 2017 and has 4 solo albums.
New York City-based Jerad Lippi studied at SUNY Purchase with Joe Morello, John Riley, Ari Hoenig, and Kenny Washington. He has had the privilege of performing with many great jazz musicians such as Phil Markowitz, Jonathan Kreisburg, Dave Liebman, Randy Brecker, Gilad Hekselman, George Garzone, and many others. Jerad is a Bosphorus Cymbals artist and continues to perform regularly in New York City and internationally.
