. Saturday, August 23rd I.M.U. presents The HAWAIIAN BIBLES, ADERA, GO GHETTO TIGER & STRIDE ELEMENTARY @ The Media Club, 695 Cambie . Doors 8pm - Purchase advance tickets online @ www.imuproductions.com
The HAWAIIAN BIBLES are a Rock'n'Roll-Pop bass and drum duo, with both members sharing vocal duties and tackling keyboards when playing live and using loop peddles. Their stories of underdogs, journeys and "man vs himself relationships are sung with an optimistic outlook.
ADERA - Vancouver's Adera rose from the ashes of bands By A Thread, All State Champion and Complete.
GO GHETTO TIGER delivers devastating synth riffs and irresistibly danceable beats with a live show that has been described as "unpredictable, always keeping you guessing about where it might turn next." Their eclectic blend of guitar, bass and synth interjects playful drum loops, samples and melodic vocals, combining into intelligent, sparkly, melodic grooves with inspired lyrics and tempo changes.
STRIDE ELEMENTARY began life as a way for Glenn Gillis and Greg Williams to compose music and record songs at each other's homes. After being recruited by Vancouver's Solarists, Greg went on to join Hinterland while Glenn continued songwriting. Adding Michael Nathanson (Windows '78) and Kevin Titcomb, their unique sounds are not to be missed!
