Let’s be serious for just a moment because this is IMPORTANT. Rock.It Boy Entertainment is proud to bring THE ARROGANT WORMS back to B.C. for one night at the Bell Performing Arts Centre in Surrey on Thursday, February 1st. Advance tickets are available from all Ticketmaster outlets for $22.50.
They didn’t mean to do it. Honest. It was just meant to be a joke. THE ARROGANT WORMS, Chris Patterson, Mike McCormick and Trevor Strong got together in 1991 at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, writing and performing some “stupid” songs for the college radio. They didn’t mean to still be doing it fifteen years later. They didn’t plan to put out 10 independent CDs, or play to 150,000 people on Canada Day in Ottawa and they certainly had no intentions of writing a song called “Dangerous” and having it played aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour for astronaut and fan Chris Hadfield. They certainly had no plans of being voted by the youth of Canada on a major radio show as the most popular band - with AC DC coming a close second. But…it all happened so what could they do but put out another album called BEIGE. Buy it for Xmas.
But it’s the live shows that have really made this trio legendary. THE ARROGANT WORMS have played all over North America and Australia, from small clubs, to theatres, to arenas, to Disney, to Central Park, to The Grand Canyon, and were recognized in 2003 as the Touring Act of the Year by the Canadian Arts Presenters Association. They have a HUGE selection of songs to pick from every time they do a show, and you’re to hear some favourites and the soon-to-be favourites at the Bell Performing Arts Centre. Get ready for songs with titles like “Big Fat Road Manager” (a classic Worms tune), “Me Like Hockey”, “Carrot Juice Is Murder”, “Killer Robots from Venus” and dozens more.
Rock.It Boy Entertainment presents THE ARROGANT WORMS on Thursday, February 1st at the Bell Performing Arts Centre in Surrey.
