Not the first 1970s nightclub in Chilliwack, but perhaps the best known, was “The Answer”, at 45680 Hocking Avenue, which opened its doors on July 14, 1975. The Answer had three options for patrons entering its premises: proceed straight through to the discotheque area, turn right for a meal and a drink, or turn left to enjoy a drink in the lounge by a large fireplace. For the next five years, The Answer dominated Chilliwack’s nightclub scene, drawing some high-profile live acts. In May 1980, the popular nightspot was sold and the new owners wanted a new name for the club and sponsored a renaming contest. The following month, The Answer became Pajjo’s. The structure that had housed The Answer on Hocking Avenue, initially known as the LeRae Building, was located on the south side of the street between Yale Road West and A.D. Rundle Junior Secondary School. In fact, the building was just 35 metres east of the high school. The Answer advertised extensively in the Chilliwack Progress, and this image presents the well-known logo of the popular nightclub from a typical (and frequent) advertisement in the local newspaper. For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
