The Juno award winning folksinger Valdy is our focus today as we showcase a bunch of new pictures in the gallery section. A big thanks goes out to Gary Anderson at Turntable Records in Fan Tan Alley for letting us capture the images of his many albums. While visiting with Gary, who should drop by by but world renowned poster artist Bob Masse. In fact, Bob pointed out that 2 of Valdy's album covers were his created by him. More thanks goes out to Tim Zurowski for helping out with the "Country Man" album cover.

In March of 1967, an Island Battle of the Bands was held in Nanaimo's Civic Arena. Gary Wilcox, editor of Off Beat Magazine, send in some pictures from that event. In one picture, standing in the middle of a crowd is Gil Auchenlach. He's probably better known to most of you as announcer "Doc Harris".
