Blues Union April 10, 2006
As promised our next piece of streaming audio is up. Thanks to Bob Lesher who dug up his old tapes and sent a few songs our way recorded by Blues Union at Nick Hall-Patch's basement circa 1973. Here's what Bob had to say:
"The rehearsal was recorded on an old reel-to-reel tape machine with, as I can recall, one mic hanging from the ceiling. I haven't listened to this collection for many years and it's odd to hear my voice so immature, yet cocksure of itself. I guess all of us were so sure of ourselves in those days"
Thanks to Bob, from thousands of miles away in the United States for your contribution. Now, how about all of you who still live in Greater Victoria and on Vancouver Island?
Todays audio update: Blues Union *Stomach Ache
* (A comical Jr.Wells tune that became a highlite of whatever set we slipped it into. We could "riff" on it forever and I remember people dancing a lot to it, especially when we played the Brown Jug ... BL)
