Lost & Found December 31, 2005

Todays picture is the Lost Souls rehearsing in 1966.Our thanks today to Gary Wilcox who found an old tape, transferred it to mp3 and sent it in to the audio archive. Here's some of what Gary had to say:
"I hope to get more material to you in the new year, but in the meantime I'm sending along a little Christmas offering that I dug up and restored -- possibly the only recording in existence of the Lost Souls. It's even possible that Harry and Jim don't realize this song exists! I've been meaning to digitize this before the tape (40 years old) disintegrates. And just in time -- the take preceding this take has serious magnetic imprinting that makes it unlistenable!
It's a basement recording, taped probably in 1966, by the original members of the Lost Souls -- Harry Creech(drums), Jim Smith (rhythm guitar), Bill Wilcox (keyboards) and Gary Wilcox (lead guitar). The bass guitarist is unknown, as he joined us for only this one practice session and was never seen again.
I'm submitting this recording -- an original instrumental called "Destination Earth" -- for archival reasons". After getting the OK from Harry & Jim, it's todays contribution to the archive ... thanks again Gary.
