Quotes:
.....”On his album Mushroom Dirt you can hear a deep and
eloquent musical vocabulary, real respect for musical
traditions and the hint of a lifetime of acquired technique, now
abandoned in the spirit of pure spontaneity. You can also hear
something more valuable: what’s not there. This guy never
plays a note that isn’t intended, or that doesn’t add an
essential but unexpected element to the musical whole. That
makes him unique”.
- Greg Quill - Toronto Star Columnist
.....”Cam, you have always been one of my inspirations with
your ideas and your power on the guitar. You are a true artist
my friend”
- Gaye Delorme - guitarist
.....”Elegant ,tasteful, colourful, passionate, thoughtful,
inventive, expressive......Toronto guitarist composer Cam
MacInnes is all these things and more - an astounding finger
picker, a heart breaking slide virtuoso, a harmonic genius”
- Greg Quill - Toronto Star Columnist
.....”When I first encountered Cam MacInnes in 1980, his
versatility and textured playing reminded me of another
guitarist I'm very familiar with. Unfortunately, Cam isn't in The
Police like the other guy”
- Gary Topp - concert promoter / artist management
