Scott Sutherland August 1, 2021

Born in 1955 in Toronto, Scott Sutherland bought his first 1957 "factory black" Fender Stratocaster when he was 16 years old for $250. He grew up slogging the Ontario bar scene in the 70s and then touring eastern North America like a maniac in the 80s and 90's. Genetically born a classic rocker and a collector of Canadian music, guitar toys and all musical experiences, his credos are, "my amp goes to 11" and "if you don't sweat buckets on stage, you haven't done yer job". Scott's single favourite guitar player is Robin Trower with Leslie West (RIP) and Joe Walsh close second(s) and his studio credits are extensive having recorded with multiple players in many studios starting back east in 1979 to today on the Westcoast (check out Scott's profile).
Since moving to the island in 1997, as well as recording, Scott has appeared on stage with a variety of groups and is currently working on a “post Covid” reset of “Thunder Road”, a 2 & 1/2 hour show featuring a 9-piece Bruce Springsteen tribute band, complete with exact renditions of a wide-range of “The Boss's” songs. Watch for them in the fall.
