Kelly Ward Fawcett is a versatile guitarist and powerful vocalist who has led his own bands and worked as a sideman for many other prominent Canadian musical acts. He has toured North America extensively, with international sojourns to Hong Kong, China, the Caribbean and Europe. Growing up in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Kelly cut his teeth playing with “The Prime Minister of the Blues” Dutch Mason and blues harp legend, Rick Jefferies. He has shared the stage with Buddy Guy, Jim Byrnes, Amos Garret, The Odds, Shari Ulrich and Sarah McLachlan as well as touring with Mobadass (Earl Pereira of Widemouth Mason), HB Concept, Rita Chiarelli and the Twisters.
A former instructor at the Selkirk College professional music and digital media program, Kelly is also an award wining songwriter, composer and engineer with his music being featured in both film and television. Kelly currently lives and plays on Vancouver Island and performs as guitarist in
The Deb Rhymer Band , and fronting The Beautiful Maladies, Mystery Train , The Funky LowDown,
Fast Forward (duo with Don Peterson), as well as solo shows.
