Damian Graham was born in New Zealand (’72) and raised on the west coast of Canada. Some of the folks he has worked with are Michael Kaeshammer, David Vest, The Paperboys, Kendel Carson, David Gogo, Jim Byrnes, Toni Childs, Paul Laine, Marc Atkinson, Paul Pigat, Tom Landa, MoBadass, Dustin Bentall, Kenny “Blues Boss” Wayne, Pat Coleman, The Twisters, Bob Murphy, Danger Danger, George Koller, Gary Comeau, Louise Rose, Phil Dwyer, Tyler Yarema, and Brooke Maxwell.
Damian maintains a busy schedule playing both live and studio dates with his own trio and as a freelance musician. He also teach privately at his home studio and the Victoria Conservatory of Music as part of the music diploma program. (Business of Music, Combo Classes, Jazz Percussion)
Some other career highlights have included sharing the stage with Joshua Redman, Albert Collins, Cecil McBee, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Holly Cole, The Shuffle Demons, Buddy Guy, Metalwood, The Paladins, Colin James, The Odds, Junkhouse, Jane Bunnett, Dave Bartholemew, Joey DeFrancesco. Shows in Chicago, London , New York, San Fransisco, Cologne,Stockholm and numerous festival appearances including the Montreal Jazz Festival (Canada), Toronto and Vancouver TD Jazz Festivals (Canada), Beilefeld Jazz Festival(Germany), Hultsfred Festival (Sweden), High Sierra Music Festival (USA), and Tuno Festival (Denmark). *From the website http://www.damiangraham.com/
