On Saturday September 20th, The Royal City Music Project presents "SLAB JAM" a celebration of co-founder Glenn Parfitt's 60th birthday at the Red Lion Inn's "V Lounge" located at 3366 Douglas St. in Victoria. Doors open at 12:00PM (High Noon) with music starting at 1:30PM until 5:30PM. This is a FREE" event with no cover charge and a chance to reunite with old musical friends. Bands include hosts Ian & Carolynn McDowell's jam group (with Stewart McLellan and David Gray), Ingelwood, Summer & The Sinners, Jack 'N' The Rocks, Cruel Shoes Rockin' Blues Band and the long anticipated reunion of the 80's rock group "Hostage" featuring singers Janis Mullan and Deb Rhymer reuniting with guitarist Dave Saqui for the first time in over 30 years. Seating is first come first served and oh, did we mention local beers are $3.75 a bottle and $4. for imports along with 2 for 1 appys until 5:00PM. You'll also be able to enter the draw for an original Club Tango on View St. poster from the 1960's. Hope to see you there!

UNCLE WIGGLY'S HOT SHOES BLUES BAND IS GOING TO MEMPHIS
That's right folks, the band entered the International Blues Challenge in Whiterock and won so they'll represent British Columbia in Memphis Tennessee during January of 2015. The Victoria Blues Society is sponsoring a fund raiser on Friday, October 24th at the Tallyho Sports Bar & Grill.
