Victoria Blues Society director Glenn Parfitt was presented with a cheque for $1000. by John Shields, Senior Program Manager for 100.3 The Q and The Zone radio stations as part of the Victoria Blues Society’s mission and mandate to promote and preserve the blues which includes supporting up-and-coming young blues players. To this end, the Victoria Blues Society, in cooperation with 100.3 the Q (FM), is pleased to announce our first BLUES STUDY GRANT, provided to a qualifying young musician for the purpose of having him or her attend the prestigious Hornby Island Blues Workshop, held yearly in May on Hornby Island, presented by the Hornby Island Blues Society.
