Growing up in Victoria, John discovered the magic of the blues when he was attending Mount Douglas High School. During lunch hours, John and his friend Dave MacPherson would go home and play old blues records. It wasn't long before Dave's younger brother Norman started to pay attention to John & Dave's adoration of the music and he to caught the vibe which would be the earliest beginnings of Victoria's legendary original rhythm and blues group "Blues X Five". Come see this consummate blues man and his partner S.P. Wadsworth perform Wednesday (tomorrow night), June 19, 2013 at Hermann's Jazz Club on View St. in Victoria from 7:00pm - 9:00pm with their group, "Elmore's Bar and Grill". The cover charge, a mere $4, is tremendous value for anyone who likes their blues performed the way it was meant to be played.
