With Vancouver being the closest major Canadian music market, it only makes sense that many Victoria musicians migrated to the mainland in pursuit of opportunity and success. Today's poster picture from the 1980s is an example as bassist Brian Newcombe relocated there in the 1960s to become one of it's premier musical mainstays.
