First Day of Summer June 20, 2012

In 1966 a documentary was produced by a Vancouver company about the rebuilding of Victoria's Townscape, showing the construction of Centennial Square, Bastion Square and the re-purposing of the old Victoria Theatre to become the MacPherson. This 30 minute movie also features the downtown culture at the time, showing a group of teenagers playing guitars and singing in Bastion Square. Can you guess who they are? This is a very large file and depending on your connection may take up to 1/2 hour to load. Our thanks to the Hallmark Heritage Society for saving the very last copy in existance and making it available to us. Because of it's size, this movie will only be available until June 30.
