Our condolences go out to the Kersey family during this time of loss. Mike was a member of "The Pharaohs" and will always be thought of as an excellent pianist and a great friend to everyone who knew him. Thank you Mike for all your help getting the Royal City Music Project and the Victoria Music Hall of Fame underway during their infancy.

JAZZLAB
Featuring the top players and composers of Quebec jazz label Effendi, comes first of all as the success of a vision: the vision of a record label as a meeting place for talents and whose fruits are given out to a large audience of jazz fans. Jazzlab makes surprisingly possible the gathering of distinctive paths within a collective endeavor to tame a wide spectrum of approaches and styles, from conventional swing to a Gil Evans impressionism via free jazz that sounds as much unpredictable as it can be articulated.
Jazzlab tickets for November 19 at Hermann's Jazz Club are available at the McPherson Box Office and its outlets (250-386-6121 or online at http://www.rmts.bc.ca), Lyle’s Place and the Victoria Jazz Society office (250-388-4423).
