Today we say goodbye to an old friend as the Victoria Music Hall of Fame (previously the Victoria Rock & Roll Music Hall of Fame) ends it's almost 6 year relationship with Darcy’s Pub. We part as friends, comforted by the fact that live music is being played there 7 nights a week and that upstairs is seeing a resurgence of "Harpoesque" events. Our thanks to Darcy's GM Dale Mallock for his years in support of our mission. Todays feature picture are the guitars and sign, now in a safe, warm, and dry storage place along with all the other memorabilia awaiting their new home.

PARTY TIME

Get your dancin' shoes on cause "Lightning" Len Siemens and Ernie Niederer have secured the Prince Edward Legion (Langford Legion) Auditorium for a Victoria Music Hall of Fame fundraiser and dance on Saturday April 24, 2010. Both Lightning Express and Cruel Shoes Rock "N" Blues Band will perform with some "special guests" sitting in throughout the evening. Tickets are $15. each or $20. a couple and are now available at Alpine Auto Repair in Langford, Long & McQuade on Hillside or e mail [email protected]. Mark that date in your calendar, it'll be a blast.

JUNO AWARDS

The Provincial Capital Commission (PCC) and Downtown Victoria Business Association (DVBA) have initiated a review of an opportunity to host a future JUNO Awards celebration in the Capital Region.
