Todays feature picture was taken in the 1980's at Oly's Cabaret as staff member Tom MacDonald takes a moment to hoist a Heineken with his musical idol Burton Cummings. F.Y.I. Burton kept a home in Deep Cove for many years and is an avid collector of comic books. Our March 12th "What's New" section featured an unknown group whose name has been discovered and a great story to go with it. Check out todays band add.

Get your dancin' shoes on cause "Lightning" Len Siemens and Ernie Niederer have secured the Prince Edward Legion (Langford Legion) Auditorium for a Victoria Music Hall of Fame fundraiser and dance on Saturday April 24, 2010. Both Lightning Express and Cruel Shoes Rock "N" Blues Band will perform with some "special guests" sitting in throughout the evening. Tickets are $15. each or $20. a couple and are now available at Alpine Auto Repair in Langford, Long & McQuade on Hillside or e mail [email protected]. The Provincial Capital Commission (PCC) and Downtown Victoria Business Association (DVBA) have initiated a review of an opportunity to host a future JUNO Awards celebration in the Capital Region.
