Fifth Estate February 20, 2010
In 1985 this CBC program aired a profile of David Foster called The Chartmaker. Fresh off the "Tears Are Not Enough" project and "St.Emo's Fire" soundtrack, this is a great synopsis of David's career up to that point. In part one of the three parts posted on youtube, about 6 minutes in, you can see David (13) playing in his parents living room with a group of young musicians. David had them playing Mancini tunes from the "Peter Gunn" TV Show album that was just released! Those musicians were Barry Gray on drums, Wayne Budd on guitar and Brian Newcombe (15) on bass. Our thanks to Brian for forwarding this to us. The year ... how about 1963!
