JUNO AWARDS
The Provincial Capital Commission (PCC) and Downtown Victoria Business Association (DVBA) have initiated a review of an opportunity to host a future JUNO Awards celebration in the Capital Region. In August 2009, PCC and DVBA invited Music BC’s Executive Director Bob D’Eith to lead the review and consult with local stakeholders and community leaders. MUSIC BC successfully hosted the 2009 JUNO Awards celebration in Vancouver. So far the idea has been well received but now they need to hear from the general public. In addition to inviting your input on this opportunity, their web-site will provide you with information about what the JUNO Awards are all about and answer some of the questions that have been raised in their first phase on consultation. Please take the time to fill out the survey (click on link below). MUSIC BC will be preparing a final report on the opportunity for the PCC and DVBA this spring. Your ideas and comments will help shape the final recommendations.
