Hit & Run October 28. 2009
Todays picture is guitarist Pete Seginowich who is credited for changing Jim Smith from miming Elvis to actually singing and playing guitar. Pete shared a few stories with us including the night he, Jim Smith and Les Waucter pulled up to the Club Sirocco on View St. unannounced, unloaded the gear and set up on the dance floor during a set break of the Reg Wood Orchestra and started playing some rock & roll/rockabilly tunes. When finished, they loaded up the car and drove away into the night much to the surprise of a stunned audience who wasn't sure what hit them.

That's right folks, we are underway with our annual month long fundraiser. Since 2003, the Royal City Music Project and the Victoria Music Hall of Fame have relied on donations to maintain these vital undertakings and this month, we are hoping to raise enough money to continue our good work for another year. It costs time and money to research and restore the audio and video that is enjoyed on the website and there is lots more to come including some unfinished documentaries and a major upgrade to the displays at Darcy's Pub, the brick & mortar home of the Victoria Music Hall of Fame. If you enjoy the website or take in any of the related events, please help us continue by sending in a donation. Cheques and money orders can be sent to the address listed in the contact tab on the website. On November 1st, we will put all those who contributed into a draw for gift certificates donated by local restaurants and hotels. Thank you, your contributions are greatly appreciated!
