Fraser McAlpine September 11, 2009
Arriving in Victoria during 1958 from Trail B.C., Fraser enjoyed a near 30 year run as a local broadcaster and personality for both CJVI & CKDA. He was the man behind the mic at Western Speedway, All Star Wrestling along with introducing musical groups & entertainers at the Jaycee Fair. Fraser could also be found at Beacon Hill Park emceeing the Sunday concert series as a huge supporter of local music. Todays picture was taken in 1973 as Fraser hosted the popular CJVI "Request Line". Fraser is now retired and travels the world with his wife Eileen. Our thanks to
Mike Easton for his tireless help with Victoria's broadcasting history.
