I Scream, You Scream March 24, 2007
In 1912 Frances H.A. Horton started up Northwestern Creamery, named for it's location at the northwestern corner of Douglas and Cormorant St. It would later move to the 1000 block of Yates St. and was a great place to get a milkshake or ice cream cone growing up. Out back on View St. was the Club Sirocco which was bought by the dairy and leased out to would be promoters, the most successful being Ian Diment and the "Club Tango". Got any memories of the old creamery? Why not share them in the guest book!
