Punk It Up March 9, 2007
It's 1978 and punk rock is taking Victoria by storm. Todays picture is Canada's original female punkers The Dishrags (originally Dee Dee & The Dishrags) in their teens. The scene was wild and bands like themselves, The Dayglos and others were putting a huge curve in the straight ahead rock genre. Our thanks today to Jason Flower who with Rick Long and others are working hard towards a 2007 release of the "All Your Ears Can Hear" project. Thanks for the taste of things to come later this year. Speaking of later this year, have you submitted your ballot yet for the 2007 Victoria Rock & Roll Music Hall of Fame inductees? You've only got about a week left so pitter patter, you'd better get 'ater.
