Beemish User Info... | Hi there, We are an indie band from Victoria (guitar, keyboards, drum, bass), which has been together since 2006. We have recently sunk quite a lot of time and money into an album, which is nearing completion. We are about to start gearing up to play some shows to promote the record, but our bass player and we have decided to go our separate ways, so we need a new bass player. Us: 1. Have a free jam spot 2. Have all our own gear 3. Have jobs 4. Practice usually two nights a week 5. Have several vehicles 6. Have played 25+ shows in a 150 mile radius (mostly all over Victoria) 7. Have a record coming out soon, with website, promo etc. 8. Have a myspace, but it's old and sucks... email us for a song or two to get a real taste 9. Get along quite well and are friends 10. Play 90% originals, 9% covers... 1% guitar tuning and audience taunting 11. Have a savings account with performance revenues 12. Have equity-based profit sharing structures in place 13. Our live act could use some work In a nutshell, we're as serious a project as it gets, but nobody's among us is a flaky hobo musician. You: Age: 21-37 Skill: come on Gender: definitely prefer F, but it's not a dealbreaker Genre: You should be relatively comfortable with the musical stylings of some of these: Sam Roberts, Radiohead, Pumpkins, Beatles, Elliott Smith, Sloan (singles only), Tegan and Sara, and you could also secretly like Bush or Our Lady Peace. If you want to audition, email me (Brandon) and I'll get a couple songs and tabs to get comfy with before we meet :) ~B - Sat, 16 May 2009 9:08pm | ||
