Sean Thompson User Info... | Hey! I'm a drummer who has also played in a serious ska band, and I live for reggae and ska drumming. I'm primarily influenced by stewart copeland who was the drummer in the Police, which was heavily reggae influenced. copeland was the true reggae element of the band and I chose to emulate his style with my own outside influences. I have my own kit and what not and I'd be down to jam anytime! - Fri, 27 Mar 2009 11:35am
jordandrummer User Info... | Hey there Sean, my name is Jordan. I too am a drummer who enjoys reggae and stewart copeland.. I'm not as obssessed with him as you are, but I enjoy his style and sometimes emulate parts of his playing in my own playing.. like when I stomp on the bass drum on all four and do two-handed rolling hi-hat accents with little tribal tom shots and reggae fills on the snare.. cross-sticking the dubby one-drops with the fakey-delay.. :) know what I mean? Anyways, just wondering if you want to sometime get together and talk drumming, or play drums somewhere which I like doing with other drummers once inawhile. There's also a chance, if you'd like to sit in with my reggae/dub/funk/groove band from time to time, I'd like to get up and do some singing..! I can sing and drum but I am not able to really change up the drumming while singing, jut hold down a steady beat. glad to see other drummers that like the copeland feel..! what else are you into? -J. - Sat, 28 Mar 2009 2:26pm
