Seeking likeminded musicians with interest in playing old-school funk and soul. I can play either guitar or bass.
The rest are needed. Laid-back jamming to start with, no freaking rock stars.

If interested, as a first step consider joining me at the Maceo Parker concert this Sunday, June 22. If you have not heard that name (although you should), please look it up.

I've seen maceo twice. One of the best shows I've seen. About a hundred times better than the James brown (RIP) show I saw...

I play bass & I'm all over that, shoot me an email or give me a call 598-1482

hey there, I play drums too..

I'm 33, been drumming since late teens, and enjoy all kinds of good music with good drums, such as funk, reggae, ska, jazz, fusion, ska, blues, r&b, and others.

I've got a funky sound for sure, nothing like a fat bass drum, crispy snare, and tight hi-hats. I love the groove in 'shake everything you got.' thanks for reminding me about the show, maybe I will make it there.

adios, hope you check your messages here once inawhile.

I'm a bassist and I'd really like to start up a cover band which covers funk, acid jazz, soul, r&b, hip-hop...........basically anything that has a solid groove to it.

I've seen Maceo three times now. He puts on a great show. Non-stop funk. I would highly reccomend it to anybody reading ( by the way, its 2%jazz, 98% funk ) - Thu, 19 Jun 2008 2:00pm

actually, it's "2% jazz, 98 percent -funky stuff-"..!

hey rich, if you're the same guy, do you remember me..?

we jammed in a restaurant where you worked, after hours
when no-one was there. maybe 5 or 8 years ago..!

well I'm still around. i've got some decent musicians
who wanna get down, gonna try out one of my bass player
friends with some of them, but there's always room for more
BASS..!

had to sell my nice Ayotte drums recently, but I just
picked up a cheapie drumset, and can play at my house
which is a carpeted basement suite, don't think anyone's
gonna complain.

cool well by for now, let's jam/play some covers..!
