Okay, due to an unfortunate naming accident, you may confuse us with the Sooke Fest which at one time had Barney Bentall at it.

We are not.

We are now East Sooke RocknRoll Fest or EastSFest for short. Last year, as you may have heard, it went down July 27th.

This year, it will be July 26th.

We're looking for an eclectic mix of bands. This will not be a one genre show, so if you have a problem with other genres of music or peoples, best you skip it.

If you know what it's all about and would like to play, please email [email protected] with info and links to mp3s. PLEASE include these links.

If you did not hear about it, it is a free outdoor weekend show with a bunch of bands from around the West Coast (incl. Van, Seattle, Portland). The show ran Sat to Sun with camping, etc, on about 10 acres nestled into the edge of East Sooke Park. You should know that the show *** DOES NOT PAY ***. No one is making any money off this. Us folks putting it on sure as hell aren't making any. Last year, we only lost just over $200.00, though, so that's pretty good.

We could charge for tickets, but figured: fugg it. Keep it free for people to come.

Also, please don't worry if we do not get back to you IMMEDIATELY. It may be even up to a week before we get back to you because we all work and do other stuff, too.

Thanks.
