hey there jazz musicians. looking to make some extra cash this summer like me? im a talented singer and i would like to put together a jazz duo for busking on the causeway this spring/summer. i've got presence, performance experience and know how to draw an audience in, so i know we could make some good money and if it goes well, we could look for other gigs around town. i have some samples of my voice on myspace, however you will have to bear in mind that it is my own compostions and its folk-noir....very different from the jazz we would be doing and so the songs dont display my jazz vocal ability, but you will still get the point that i have a beautiful voice anyway. i already have a repetoire of standards, so i figure we get a list of 20 or so songs that we can perform, and we're golden.
here is the link to myspace:

come to think of it, it doesnt have to be all jazz, we could mess around with other stuff too, experiment a little...put a different twist on things...im open.
i look forward to meeting with you! - Thu, 21 Feb 2008 2:24pm Edited: Thu, 21 Feb 2008 2:29pm

Hi nasstasia.

I like your idea of a spring/summer jazz/ other busking project.

I'm a local musician looking to do some busking this summer. I'm interested in a blues/jazz project similar to Madeleine Peyroux or Bessy Smith.

What's your set list of standards?

I would like to hear your ideas.
