I know I've been trolling this place for awhile.. and I've got a couple of projects in the pre-production mode (aka I'm talking to a few different musicians about maybe-possibly-someday hooking up to do some writing, etc, sometime in the fuzzily-defined future) .. I dunno when or how that is going to really get going.. I've been writing and recording my own tunes, which I'd love to explore further, but honestly, I really just want to join a band!

Something reasonably heavy, without being "noisy" .. not into Hardcore or major metal .. I don't mind certain metal genres though.. and really not into anything that sounds like 80's hair rock or metal.. or classic rock.. or so-called "modern rock", like Nickelback.

I love Muse, and their bass player is probably the singlest biggest influence on my playing. I use a lot of fuzzy and distortion affects and play uncluttered but usually non-simplistic basslines.

I'd love to do something in a Muse-y vein, but would also like to incorporate elements of Project 86, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, Radiohead, Skillet, Celldweller, God Lives Underwater, Gravity Kills, Filter, and others..

Totally willing to join an established band, and in some ways I would almost prefer it. I've definitely got ideas of my own, so some creative input and song-writing would definitely be a plus.
