| ::Saint:: User Info... | Yeah I'm kinda frustrated. After playing with The Black Orchid Rebellion for a year or so, that band broke up for no really good reason, and I embarked upon my own journey to try starting something new. I invested in some home recording gear and started writing some songs (pretty decent, I think) and looking for other musicians. I ended up with an entire roster - singer/guitarist, lead guitarist, drummer, keyboardist, and myself. First jam comes up and the singer bails on me for good. So I go looking for a new one. With an entire band, and no vocalist I still feel pretty good. Throughout the next few weeks my drummer and keyboardist become so wrapped up in their own lives that they become completely flaky, and the source of a lot of really annoying personal drama. So, scratch them. So it's me and the guitarist - albeit a very good and creative guitarist. We record the song that is currently on http://myspace.com/subsaint . I like it quite a bit. Finally, I find a good vocalist. And now my guitarist has quit. So where I started with an entire band and no vocalist, now ALL I have is a vocalist. Much as I would really like to get my project off the ground, at this point I really just want to be in a band. I'd like to have a central part in said band, not just the bass player, but something more than that. I am really into the heavier progressive alt-rock sound, with influences like Muse, Project 86, Skillet, Nine Inch Nails, Gravity Kills, God Lives Underwater, etc. I play a unique style - uncomplicated for the most part, but big sounding - often fuzzy, distorted and synthy. I just want to play in a band full of other people who just really want to be there the same as I do. I love playing live, and I can sing decent backups. | stefan User Info... | Anyone lookin for a solid bass player, this is your guy, he's really got it together on bass, has some really creative and cool ideas, has a solid understanding of songwriting and structure, and is a great and easy going guy to work with.
