| John N User Info... | I'm a 21 y/o guitarist/bassist/drummer with a decent jam space in my garage with some basic recording stuff. I play piano, mandolin and mandola/banjo as well. I'd like to start a band with anyone interested in any combination of these bands: Colourbook, Broken Social Scene, The Constantines, Fugazi, Neil Young, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Kinks, Destroyer, Pavement, The Velvet Underground, Boris, Sublime. To name a few. I'm not committed to any of these in particular, and i just want to make some heavy grooves and a wall of instruments. I am envisioning as many members as we can compose for. I just want to rock out and have fun with as many different combinations of instruments we can find. | John N User Info... | Right on. I saw your other post steve. I really like some of the bands you listed. Tool being one of my favorites. I'm going to guess i'm about an advanced amateur at the guitar (acoustic or electric), bass, drums. So i thought it would be cool to have a band with some other well-rounded musicians, switch around and see what different sounds come from different combinations. I don't have a ride cymbal yet (looking around for a good deal right now) so it would be cool to have some other percussion stuff around. I'm pretty much free anytime this week if anyone wants to jam. We try to jam before 8 pm so the neighbors don't phone the cops on us, but thats only happened once in the past at 10pm on a tuesday night. fair enough i said. - Tue, 21 Aug 2007 2:52pm | ||
