| STBP User Info... | Hello - Looking to join an indy-type rock band. Not sure how to label what I'd like. I guess just looking for good players who want to gig and maybe record. | STBP User Info... | I should add a bit more.. My ideal scenario would be to join an established group. I'm a quick study, and this is mostly what I've done before. Starting from scratch/jamming is certainly not out of the question, but I'd like to be gigging this summer. My style is melodic, I'm a pick player, I have a good ear but don't read musical notation, and I'd like to be part of a band and not "someone's" band in a backup role. I don't compose but do prefer to be responsible for creating my parts. Again, bass player and sometimes rythm guitar (but best at bass). All bad jokes aside...we are both 23...both have gear and are dying to find a bass player...we have lots of material written in the form of guitar drums and words. 5 years+ on guitar and drums. 10+ years on piano.. We have written a few bass progressions but are more into finding a bass player that could come up with their own stuff and contribute to a sound we are still trying to find..
